Traditional Jazz
EDWISE
and his
New Orleans Jazz Band
Ten years in the cradle of jazz -- New Orleans -- has
given Ed the opportunity to learn and absorb the style
and feel of what he and most New Orleans musicians
prefer to call “traditional jazz”, usually referred to
as “Dixieland”. In March of 2005, just five months
before Hurricane Katrina brought her devastation to the
Crescent City, Ed assembled seven of the finest players
in the traditional style to record a CD of his own
arrangements, transcriptions and adaptations of early
jazz music.
Bringing the library of music from this recording
session with him to Philadelphia, Ed now offers to the
City of Brotherly Love the finest traditional jazz heard
on the East Coast.
Ed is currently accepting bookings for this great
8-piece ensemble.To book him,

or phone him at 215-279-0617.
